From the King's marriage... to the arrest of FOUQUET    

 
The marriage of Louis the XIV at St Jean de Luz.

 On the King’s order, d’Artagnan arrests FOUQUET the Superintendent of Finance on the 4^th of September 1661. Placed under his sole guard during many years, d’ARTAGNAN has not only managed to make himself appreciated by this prestigious prisoner but also, to the King’s satisfaction coped with this delicate mission.

Escorting the Royal suite through his natal country to get to St Jean de Luz, he aroused admiration and pride from his compatriots. Two months later, heading the Great Musketeers, he participates in the capital to the sumptuous festivities of the marriage of the royal consorts.
